As an orthodontist, I love knowing that I am helping my patients make a positive change in the way they look, feel, and function. I was raised with a healthy respect for education and hard work, leading to several undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of subjects.

I was also voted as the Outstanding Senior Dental Student by the faculty of the University of Louisville and have been the recipient of several clinical awards.
 
Technology and treatment options in the field of orthodontics advances at an amazing pace, and it is my duty to provide my patients with the most effective treatments possible. Each year, I attend dental conferences and seminars to learn more than the required continuing education hours. I have taken classes in microscrews and miniscrew orthodontics, orthodontic implants, orafacial harmony, managing dental pain, and pharmacology.

Outside the Office

Music has always been an important part of my life.  I have knowledge of many musical genres and have recently taught myself to play the banjo!  I also have a major interest in astronomy  which takes me to Australia each year to observe the skies of the Southern hemisphere. The engineer in me designed and built  my own observatory in west Texas.  Be sure to ask me about  "the mountain".
